2017 FAMILY HONOR'S PILGRIMAGE TO POLAND
March 28 - April 6
This pilgrimage will kick off a Year of Thanksgiving to our Lord as Family Honor approaches our 30th anniversary of serving families (in 2018). We chose Poland because a significant portion of Family Honor’s mission and philosophy is grounded in the writings of Saint Pope John Paul II and the Theology of the Body. This pilgrimage will take us to some of the sites that were significant in John Paul II’s life in Poland, along with other sites of historical and spiritual significance in the life of St. Faustina and St. Maximillian Kolbe. Spiritual Director for the Family Honor Pilgrimage will be Rev. James L. LeBlanc, pastor of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Myrtle Beach and Vicar for Family Life for the Diocese of Charleston, SC. For pilgrimage details and the Registration Form, go to: www.FamilyHonor.org and click the Pilgrimage tab. Or, contact Canterbury Pilgrimages at 1.800.653.0017 or the Family Honor office at 803.929.0858. We encourage you to register soon. Space is limited.
Natural Family Planning Sessions
Couples can plan and space their children effectively with ease using modern natural methods of family planning. Modern natural methods of family planning are effective to avoid pregnancy as any other method of family planning, respects life from the moment of conception, and is a healthy alternative for health-conscious women.
Visit http://www.sccatholic.org/nfp to find a full listing of NFP methods and instructors in the Diocese. Want more information or need to register? Visit http:// www.sccatholic.org/nfp to locate the session and contact the associated instructor to register. Or contact Kelli Ball, Diocesan NFP Coordinator, at email@example.com or 803-807-0158.
LITURGY OF THE DAY
Today as we gather at God’s invitation, we will hear the parable of the rich man and Lazarus. It interprets our first reading’s condemnation of those who hoard their own wealth with vivid imagery. Both passages are about the choices that we can make in this life. As we continue this celebration, may our prayer be for the grace to make the right choices in our own lives.
