Dear Friends in Christ, The seminarians, priests and retired priests serving in the Diocese of Charleston play a crucial role in leading our united diocesan family. These men are called not only to share the joy of the Gospel, but also to help people appreciate the need for service and sacrifice. They offer compassion, care and guidance asking only for prayers and a deepening sense of faith from their flock in return. It is a privilege to support these exceptional men through the Bishop's Annual Appeal. Your donation helps to cover these costs:
-Education of 22 Seminarians - $41,500 per year, per seminarian for six years - Pension and Healthcare costs of 25 Retired Priests - $30,500 per year, per priest - Continuing Education for Parish Priests The tremendous gift of vocations requires substantial financial support. Yet the return on investment is immeasurable. To learn more about the men serving in our diocese, please take a moment to view this short Vocations video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wb14U4Ja0n8
If you have already supported the Bishop's Annual Appeal, I thank you. If you have not, please prayerfully consider a donation. Every gift, no matter the size, is appreciated and expresses a commitment to our Church today and in the future.
Thank you for engaging deeply and meaningfully in the mission of the Church. Together we are building His kingdom.
In the Lord’s Peace, Most Reverend Robert E. Guglielmone Bishop of Charleston
“It was a true gift to receive six years of support from the Bishop's Annual Appeal. It was God who called me, but it was through your sacrificial giving that I had the opportunity to be formed into the priest that I am today for this wonderful Diocese of Charleston. I pray the Lord grants all of us giving hearts in order to continue the mission of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.” -Father Andrew Fryml, Ordained June, 2017
