OCIA is in need of  sponsors (and godparents for 7 who have not been baptized), to accompany those who wish to become Catholic. The qualifications to become a Sponsor or Godparent are : be a confirmed Catholic, at least 16 years old. A godparent makes a lifelong commitment whereas a sponsor does not Responsibilities of the sponsor/godparent include attending Mass with the catechumen, participating in some or all OCIA classes, (which are held 3 out of 4 Wednesday eves from 7-8:30 pm) introducing the catechumen to other parishioners, inviting the catechumen to parish events, spending time with them in prayer, discussing Mass readings and participating in the OCIA rites and ceremonies.  If you think you’d like to fill this role, please contact Deacon Dave dkepler@charlestondiocese.org or call the  parish office.

Beginning October 5, parishioners will have the opportunity to complete a sign up sheet in the narthex after Mass for our “Spiritual Adoption” program!  This program is a pledge to pray for nine months for a baby in danger of abortion.  On Father’s Day (June 21, 2026) we will have a “birthday party” for the children we prayed for.  For more information about the program, please see the sign up sheets in the narthex of the church.

We invite you to participate in an uplifting journey of faith and love. Together, we will stand in solidarity at the Planned Parenthood facility in Columbia during a peaceful prayer vigil aimed at promoting the sanctity of life and ending abortion!

Join us to help save lives! On Sunday,October 26, Corpus Christi parishioners will have the opportunity to participate in The Blood Connection’s mobile blood drive. The blood drive will be held from 9:00 AM-2:00 PM in the church parking lot. As an added incentive to donate blood, the blood connection will donate $500 to Corpus Christi (which will go to the youth group) if we can make the goal of 30 blood donations during our blood drive!

All Souls Day is Sunday, November 2. As part of our Rosary and Procession we will be praying a special Rosary in the Columbarium beginning at 12:30 PM. We are encouraging the donation of mums in honor of your loved ones. Donations may be brought directly to the parish office by Wednesday, October 29th. The mums will be lovingly arranged in our Prayer Garden and Columbarium.

Join us for a special Memorial Mass for the deceased members of the Knights of Columbus on Thursday, October 30th, at 7:00 PM in the church.

 Our Trunk or Treat for our  young parishioners will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2:30-4:30 PM in the back parking lot. Children are encouraged to dress up as their favorite saint. We are asking that parishioners donate individually wrapped candies to help us make this event a success! We ask that donations be dropped off to the parish office no later than Monday, October 27.  Thank you for your support!

Please join us on Sunday, November 2 for a Rosary and Procession beginning at 12:30 p.m. in the church. Both the Glorious Mysteries of the Holy Rosary and the Eucharistic Procession will be offered for the faithful departed of Corpus Christi parish and for all the faithful departed. We eagerly await your presence!
