The tradition of Blessing the Easter foods arose from the strict Lenten fasting and dates back to the 7th century!
Parishioners are invited to join us at 8:30 AM in the church on Holy Saturday (April 4) for our annual Easter Basket Blessing! To participate, simply bring your basket filled with any of the items listed below:
Butter: Often shaped in a lamb symbolic of the Paschal Lamb or decorated with the Easter banner of white with a red cross or with cloves in the shape of a cross, reminding us of the goodness of Christ that we should have toward all things
Colored Eggs: Indicate hope, new life, and Christ rising from his tomb.
Ham/Meats: Symbolic of great joy and abundance & God’s mercy and generosity.
Sweets: Easter Candy, cookies, and small cakes suggest the promise of eternal life or good things to come.
Families are invited to join us after the 11:00 AM Mass on Easter Sunday for our annual Egg Hunt. We will meet in the parish hall first. We can't wait to see everyone there!
Join us in the parish hall after the 11:00 AM Mass for delicious coffee and donuts! Get to know your fellow parishioners while enjoying a sweet treat. Sunday Coffee & Donuts is held on the second Sunday of each month after the 11:00 AM Mass in the parish hall.
