A funeral Mass will be offered for the departed soul of our beloved parishioner Robert “Bob” H. Kirchner, on Saturday, February 18, at 1:30 p.m.
The family will receive friends following the service in the Parish Hall. If you cannot attend the funeral Mass, the service will be broadcasted live through the Parish website. The inurnment in the Columbarium will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Assistance Ministry at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Bob, who was a member of our Parish for over 40 years and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 11325, passed away on February 7, 2023, at the age of 85. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky, on November 13, 1937, to the late Henry J. Kirchner and Beatrice Willett Kirchner. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He loved the outdoors as well as hunting and archery. Bob graduated from St. Xavier Catholic High School in 1955. He attended St. Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, and the University of Louisville. He worked at International Harvester in Louisville, Kentucky, and Harsco (formerly Fairmont Tamper) in West Columbia. Bob is survived by his wife of 63 years, Betty Waddell Kirchner; sons, Kevin (Barbara), Keith (Becky), Karry (Sally); daughter, Kelly (Mike); 8 grandchildren: Nick, Casey, Robert, Mary Grace, Caroline, Charlie, Sam, and Jack; sister, Louise Gilpin. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Samuel and Henry J. Kirchner, Jr. and son, H. Scott Kirchner.
May Bob’s soul, through God’s mercy, rest in peace, and may Betty, his family and all who mourn his passing receive His divine strength, comfort and peace.
