Solemnity Of the Sacred Heart of Jesus
Friday | June 16
June is the month of The Sacred Heart of Jesus, with June 16 being the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. There are many ways that we can observe this month, such as saying a novena, attending a First Friday Mass right here at Corpus Christi, or even just spending some quiet time in prayer. Let June be a month of opportunity to grow closer to our Lord and His merciful heart!
Prayer For the Solemnity:
Grant, we pray, almighty God, that we, who glory in the Heart of Your beloved Son and recall the wonders of His love for us, may be made worthy to receive an overflowing measure of grace from that fount of heavenly gifts. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever.
Amen.

It is with a heavy heart that Corpus Christi announces that we will be saying goodbye to our priest in residence of four years, Fr. Mike, at the end of June. Though words cannot express enough all that Fr. Mike has done for our Parish, in addition to his incredible and life-changing work through his prison ministry, we hope you'll join us in giving him the farewell that he deserves! Please join us on Sunday, June 25 after the 5:00 PM Mass in the Parish Hall for hamburgers, hot dogs, and more. Let’s celebrate in thanksgiving for all the many blessings Fr. Mike has bestowed upon us.

Religious Freedom Week
Thursday | June 22
Religious freedom allows the Church, and all religious communities, to live out their faith in public and to serve the good of all. Beginning June 22, the feast of Sts. Thomas More and John Fisher, the USCCB invites Catholics to pray, reflect, and act to promote religious freedom. The Pray-Reflect-Act series aims to help Catholics build solidarity with people of faith who are persecuted abroad and find the strength to carry out the mission of the Church here in the United States. Spanish materials are being prepared and will appear on the website as soon as they are available. Please check www.usccb.org/ReligiousFreedomWeek for updates in the coming weeks. All materials except the talking points are available on the website.
