"Even now, says the Lord, return to me with your whole heart." (Joel 2:12) This Scripture sets the tone for the entire season of Lent. To reconcile with God is the reason for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. According to the Rite of Penance, "It is therefore fitting to have several penitential celebrations during Lent, so that all the faithful may have an opportunity to be reconciled with God and their neighbor and so be able to celebrate the paschal mystery in the Easter Triduum with renewed hearts."

Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord Monday, April 8
In this year 2024, The Solemnity of the Annunciation (March 25) occurs during Holy Week. For this reason, its observance is transferred to the Monday after Divine Mercy Sunday.
The Feast of the Annunciation is the reason why we celebrate Christmas on December 25. Christmas comes exactly nine months after the Archangel Gabriel invited the Virgin Mary to be the Mother of God, an event we commemorate on March 25. The dating of these Feast Days, although interesting, is of minor importance compared to their theological significance. It is fruitful to reflect upon the incarnation of Jesus Christ in the womb of the Virgin Mary as the antecedent to the explosion of joy, caroling, gift giving, eating, drinking, love and family unity that surrounds the birth of the Savior. Perhaps Mary had a sort of private and internal Christmas at the moment of the Annunciation. Maybe she felt the fullness of the world’s Christmas joy inside of her own heart when she realized she had been chosen to be the Mother of God.
The incarnation of the Second Person of the Trinity was a self emptying, retaining His infused divine knowledge while reducing Himself to a man and learning man life, doing man work, and dying a man death. By such a self emptying, He dignified all men and opened to them the possibility of entering into His higher life in Heaven.

Eucharistic Adoration on Wednesday Wednesdays | 1:00 PM - 12:00 AM Eucharistic Adoration takes place every Wednesday. Currently, we are in need of adorers, particularly during the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m. Everyone is invited to spend an hour in the presence of Our Lord, Jesus Christ. As with any ministry, there is natural attrition among adorers. We are continually looking for people who would be willing to sign up for an hour or more per week. Our goal is to have at least 6 adorers during the evening hours. Extra coverage is especially helpful when someone is out of town, or unable to keep their committed hour during a given week. Each Holy Hour needs adorers. Consider spending an hour a week with Jesus. All are welcome to worship. If you are interested in committing to an hour, please sign up by clicking the button below.

Hallow is an excellent resource for people searching for deeper spiritual lives, especially the younger generation of Catholics today. It helps make clear that a relationship with God is and can be extremely personal and can be a great source of peace, joy, and strength.
What to expect? The Hallow app, suitable for iOS and Android, offers a choice of five-, 10- and 15-minute sessions and a male or female voice option. “Pray lists” offer themed content such as meditations on humility, which involves praying through the litany of humility. There are meditations based on the Rosary, the Stations of the Cross, and a “Daily Prayer” section that is based on the readings of the day.
