World Day of Prayer-Care of Creation
Friday| September 1
Did you know that Pope Francis has established September 1 as the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation? On this day, His holiness encourages the Catholic community around the world to pray for our common home, the Earth. Other ways to respond to Pope Francis’ call to care for the gift of God’s creation can include taking some time out of your day on September 1 to walk in your local park or take a few moments to thank God for the flowers growing in your garden. The World Day of Prayer is another opportunity for us to connect with our creator God and allow the Lord to help us be better stewards of the Earth.
Prayer
O Lord, grant us the grace to respect and care for Your creation and bless all of Your creatures as a sign of Your wondrous love. O Lord, help us to end the suffering of the poor and bring healing to all your creation. Help us to use our technological advances to undo the damage we have done to Your creation and sustain Your gift of nature. Lord, hear our prayer. Amen.

Parish Office Closed for Labor Day

Eucharistic Committee Meeting
Wednesday| September 6
The Eucharistic Committee will hold its first meeting on Wednesday, September 6 at 2:00 p.m. in the Parish Office. Some of the goals of the committee include educating people of all ages on the meaning and value of Eucharistic Adoration, encouraging Corpus Christi’s religious education program to foster Eucharistic devotion desired to bring our children to Jesus in Eucharistic Adoration, and creating increased opportunities for Eucharistic Adoration throughout the local parishes. If you are interested in being a part of this truly blessed Ministry, please contact Maria Coller, Director of Parish Engagement, at the Parish Office.

On Tuesday, September 12 at 7:30 p.m. and on Thursday, September 14 at 9:30 a.m. an orientation will be held in the Parish Hall for our upcoming study of The Holy Spirit in the Bible. Study guides will be available for sale at the orientation. The cost of the six-week study guide is $15.00. New participants will be given their table assignments at the orientation session. Returning bible study scholars will remain with their same groups. Please join us for a very special Praise and Worship Adoration on Wednesday, September 13, from 8:00-9:00 p.m. Father Joseph will lead a remarkable procession of the Most Blessed Sacrament carrying the monstrance throughout the entire church for a whole hour. All participants will have a close and intimate experience with our Lord Jesus Christ in the Eucharist.

CRHP Trivia Night

Christ Renews His Parish will be selling tickets for their Trivia Night this weekend after all Masses. The Trivia Night will be held on Friday, September 15 at 6:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall and will include a dinner. The cost of the tickets is $25.00 each. Ticket sales will continue after all weekend Masses until Sunday, September 10.

We are excited to offer an implementation of COR, a new formation and fraternal opportunity for the men of Corpus Christi Parish! "COR" means heart and is the root of the word courage. COR exists to form and strengthen Catholic men in faith and virtue as missionary disciples by drawing them into a deeper relationship with Jesus through prayer, formation, and fraternity. You are invited as a Catholic Man to refocus your attention in strengthening your faith and virtue in a non-threatening learning environment. Our first meeting will be on Wednesday, September 20 at 7:00 p.m. in the Youth Room, located in the Modular Building.

The "Meeting of the Minds" is a reoccurring monthly meeting that takes place on the last Wednesday of each month and begins at 6:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall. This meeting is designed to assist the Parish’s apostolic work, whether in the field of evangelization and sanctification or in the fields of charity, social relations, and the rest. This meeting is for leaders of our various ministries as well as any parishioners who wish to attend! The purpose of this meeting is to discuss and weigh in on matters related to the Parish.

The group will meet regularly on Mondays from 1:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m. and will focus on a different topic of interest each week. Registration is not required for this event.
