Youth Leadership Council

Our Goal

Our Youth Leadership Council is structured to equip and empower our young people to be active leaders within Corpus Christi and play a critical role in the planning and execution of our youth ministry and outreach.

Who

Our Youth Leadership Council is made up of students in grades 
Fifth through Twelth encouraged and required to:

(i) develop a spiritual relationship with our Lord God,
(ii) demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow in the Catholic faith,
(iii) play a vital role in planning and managing our Parish website,
(iv) demonstrate leadership among peers,
(v) demonstrate enthusiasm and support for planned events, and
(vi) be a faithful attender at the weekly Youth Leadership Council meetings.

The Role of Adults as Advisors

The primary role of adults on Youth Leadership Council is to mentor, disciple, and encourage our youth as we slowly transition both responsibility and authority to our young people on the Council. We, as adult leaders will be supportive of student leadership and will be committed to developing youth ownership and shared leadership. As their coaches, mentors and role models, we will empower and equip our youth to be the leaders that God is calling them to be, not only within our Parish, but far beyond.
